Meet Cat,
Founder of HUB Evaluation.
Dr Cat Street is the founder of Hub Evaluation and a specialist in equity-informed evaluation. With a background in physiotherapy, a Master of Public Health and a PhD in First Nations education policy, Cat has worked in local communities, at state and territory levels across Australia and internationally in sectors including health, education, housing, homelessness, youth justice and out of home care.
Her work focuses on making evaluation more inclusive, useful and socially just — by centring the perspectives of people and communities who are marginalised by systems. She brings a practical, tailored approach to every project, drawing on a wide range of methods to generate insights that matter.
Above all, Cat is driven by a commitment to reflection, learning and change — to help programs better serve those who need them most.
what makes hub evaluation different

Seeing the big
picture
Through working across many different sectors, I have a strong understanding about how outcomes at the individual level are influenced by broader social systems.

Prioritising social equity
I understand the systems, processes and mindsets that are needed to put equity into practice.

Working in a dynamic and needs based way
My diverse skillset means that I draw upon my large ‘toolkit’ of evaluation approaches and methodologies to base my work on what will deliver the best outcomes.

Focusing on accessibility and use
My key focus is making sure that evaluation work has practical applications and is useful.

Evaluation of Project ECHO for Flinders University
I've had the pleasure of working with Cat Street across several contracts and have always appreciated her professionalism and strategic insight. She has a great ability to distil complex information, produce high-quality reports and keep projects on track with ease. Her insights and practical advice have been incredibly helpful, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her services to others.

Evaluation capacity building for Northern Territory Council of Social Services
Cat has deep knowledge of the research world, evaluations, and the Northern Territory. Cat has been an enormous help during the project, really getting in the trenches with me before offering advice. Their willingness to wrestle with complexity has changed this project for the better and provided structure and direction when sometimes it has felt like being in a sail boat with no wind.
